Day 123

 

Father, 

We praise You for the constant reminder that we are loved by You, the God of the universe. Your love is perfect and complete, and it covers us and comforts us.

Have mercy on me, a sinner. We repent of our sins and turn to You and we ask You to make our hearts clean. Forgive us for our pattern of unfaithfulness to You. We confess that we’ve been the lost person, the rebellious prisoner, and the sinful fool. Despite the evidence of Christ’s death as a sign of Your love for us, we forget⁠, and we doubt, and we wander into rebellion. Yet You have sought us out to bless us, and we repent. We turn from our sins and we turn to You. Make our hearts clean, God.

Would You remind us of Your pattern of faithfulness even when we are faithless… of Your consistency even when we are inconsistent? May Your Spirit prompt us with reminders of Your love for us today. May we forget the shame of our shipwrecks and rest in Your love that rescued us from ourselves.

We surrender our lives to You, Lord—every moment of our day, each decision we make, we yield our will and way to Your perfect will and way. 

We love You too. Amen.
